The Jivamukti Yoga method is a proprietary style of yoga created by David Life and Sharon Gannon in 1984. Jivamukti is a physical, ethical, and spiritual practice, combining vigorous yoga as exercise, a vinyasa-based physical style with adherence to five central tenets: śāstra (teachings from spiritual scriptures), bhakti (devotion), ahimsā (non-harming and kindness), nāda (sound vibration/music), and dhyana (meditation).
In this retreat, we will be practising all of the above and more. We will explore various yoga asanas for beginners and intermediate to advanced students and we will learn how to practice them properly and safely. You will learn about the science of breathing and some facts about our respiratory system you might not have heard before. Pranayama techniques for beginners and intermediate to advanced students will be discussed and practised.
All in all, this will be an authentic yoga retreat where you will practice and explore all components of yoga. All classes are optional, you can have breaks and free time whenever you choose to.
