A Haven of Peace: General Information

Swami’s is a purposeful retreat for you to reset and rejuvenate while you build more compassion, mindfulness, self love, and balance in your life. Established by yoga expert Swami Sarasvati, the Retreat has offered yoga, meditation, Qi Gong and workshops to guests from all over the world since 1983.

We welcome you to join us for weekend and weeknight retreats, where you choose your length of stay – or if you’re only able to join us for the day, we also offer day retreat passes. In addition to retreats, Swami’s also offers Yoga Teacher Training in the Sarasvati tradition, and regularly hosts events and workshops.

Your days will be filled with different styles of yoga, meditation, intentional workshops and mindfulness practices, and you will nourish your body with delicious vegetarian (mostly vegan) cuisine. This is the space for you to relax and welcome in your own unforgettably curative and nurturing experience.

Swami’s is situated on 60 acres of tranquil bushland and only 55 minutes from the centre of Sydney. Our comfortable guest rooms will ensure you a the opportunity to relax and replenish in peace. On-site facilities include a pool, spa, sauna, gym, library and tennis/basketball court. Our team will also treat you to delicious vegetarian fresh meals for a healthy lifestyle. Stays are all-inclusive (except for optional massages).



Check-in time is 3:30pm. The first activity for new arrivals is afternoon Yoga at 4pm.
Check-out time is 10:30am, but feel free to stay and enjoy classes until 3:30pm. There is no rush to leave.

All activities and programs are optional. Set your own pace and take some time to relax and rejuvenate.

Accommodation

Retreat accommodation consists of ten spacious and bright rooms, each with en-suite bathroom and cosy bedding. Located near the pool, our guest rooms will ensure you a beautiful and calm sleep. Rooms are single, twin and triple share. Use of all retreat facilities is included for every guest. NEW: we now also offer Glamping Tents for your stay at Swami’s!

Healthy Meals

Healthy cuisine plays an essential role in a salutary lifestyle. Our team prepares homemade vegetarian meals and herbal tea to ensure you get the energy you need for exercising throughout the day. We can adapt your meal to your preferences and food allergies. We can also provide you with the recipes for most dishes so that you can continue your wellness journey at home.

Yoga Classes

Yoga classes at Swami’s are suited for all levels. You will be instructed to only go as far as you can and not to push or strain. Yoga is not about achieving the most impressive poses, but rather challenging yourself at your own pace. Our classes are conducted by professional yoga instructors who are close to Swami Sarasvati and follow her unique holistic yoga and meditation approach.

Optional Inclusions

While you’re here, add some variety to your day by making use of any of our facilities. We offer a pool, spa and sauna to relax and rejuvenate between classes; a full gym and private small practice space; a reading room with fireplace; tennis court; and plenty of hammocks and chairs outside to soak in the sunshine. You may also choose to book a massage treatment with one of our trained massage therapists.
